Arrive Delhi
Arrive at Delhi International Airport (1:10 AM on Feb. 1). Upon arrival you will be received by our representative in the arrival area of the airport, after immigration, baggage collection and customs clearance.
The capital of the Republic of India, Delhi is a bustling metropolis of almost 17 million inhabitants. Delhi is a near perfect blend of the ancient and the modern, and is seamlessly divided into two parts – Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi was designed by the Mughals, and New Delhi was designed largely during English rule. Delhi has something for everyone, ranging from forts to shopping malls, museums to temples, and golf clubs to discotheques.

Delhi City Tour – Gandhi Smriti, Old Delhi & Humayun’s Tomb
Early morning check-in, followed by a late morning buffet breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, proceed on a city tour visiting:
Gandhi Smriti: A museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, this is the site where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life and was assassinated on 30th January 1948. The museum houses articles associated with Gandhi’s life and death, including the preserved room where he lived and the prayer ground where he held a mass congregation every evening.
Rickshaw ride in Old Delhi: A rickshaw ride through Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan’s Shahjahanabad city (Old Delhi) is one of the wonderful attractions in Delhi, taking you through the busy streets of the Chandni Chowk market and giving insight into local life and trading practices.

Humayun’s Tomb: The tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, commissioned by his wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562 CE and designed by Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyath. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
Drive past the war memorial India Gate, the Presidential Palace, and Government buildings.

Delhi to Jaipur via Qutub Minar (295 km, ~6 hrs)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel, then depart by road for Jaipur, stopping en route to visit:
Qutub Minar: The world’s tallest brick minaret at 72.5 meters (237.8 ft). Construction began under Qutb-ud-din Aibak and was finished by Iltutmish. It is one of the earliest and most prominent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture, surrounded by the ruins of the Qutub complex.
Lunch at a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel.
Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur – the capital of Rajasthan – is popularly known as the Pink City, famed for its forts, palaces, and bustling bazaars selling Rajasthani jewellery, fabric, and shoes.

Jaipur City Tour – Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort & City Palace
Early buffet breakfast, then a city tour visiting:
Hawa Mahal (photo stop): Built in 1798 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, this five-storey honeycomb facade has 953 small latticed windows designed to let cool breeze in while allowing royal women to observe the street below unseen.
Amber Fort & Palace: Set in the rocky Aravalli Hills, begun by Raja Man Singh I and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh. Highlights include the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors). Enjoy an elephant ride while climbing to the fort.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
City Palace: A fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture built 1729–1732 under Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, including the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal.
Dinner at a local restaurant with folk dances.

Jaipur to Ranthambore (180 km, ~4 hrs)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Ranthambore. Shrouded in romance and inhabited by tigers, Ranthambore National Park is nestled in the jungles of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, taking its name from the majestic Ranthambore Fort that lies in ruins at its center.

Ranthambore to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (250 km, ~7 hrs)
Buffet breakfast, then drive to Agra, stopping en route at the former Mughal capital, Fatehpur Sikri. Built in the second half of the 16th century by Emperor Akbar, the “City of Victory” was the Mughal capital for roughly ten years and bears exceptional testimony to Mughal civilization, strongly influencing later Indian town planning.
Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue on to Agra and check in.
Agra’s history reaches back to the Mahabharata, where it is mentioned as Agrabana (Paradise City). It became the Mughal capital in the 16th and 17th centuries and reached its zenith under Akbar, Jahangir, and Shah Jahan, flourishing as a center of art, culture, and commerce.

Agra – Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
Buffet breakfast at the hotel, then visit:
Taj Mahal: Taking 22 years and 20,000 workers to build, with white marble quarried 200 miles away and transported by a fleet of 1,000 elephants. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the mid-17th century as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is one of the wonders of the world – its close-up marble inlay work is truly astounding.
Agra Fort: Construction began under Emperor Akbar in 1565, with later additions by his son Jahangir and grandson Shah Jahan. It houses the Dewan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam (Halls of Private and Public Audience).

Agra – Delhi by Road, then Fly to Kathmandu
0600 hrs: drive to Delhi (approx. 240 km, 4.5 hrs) with a boxed breakfast, and connect with your flight to Kathmandu.
It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu (1,400 m) on a clear day, with snow-capped Himalayan peaks sprawling below. Kathmandu Valley comprises the three ancient cities of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, once independent kingdoms ruled by the Malla kings from the 12th to 18th centuries, home to seven UNESCO World Heritage shrines.
Upon arrival, proceed with visa application, baggage collection, and customs clearance. Our representative will transfer you to your hotel.

Kathmandu – Mount Everest Mountain Flight
Mountain flight in the early morning: One of the must-see landmarks of Nepal is, of course, the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. For one hour, fly over the Eastern Himalayan Ranges of Nepal for a face-to-face view of Everest and its neighboring giants.
Buffet breakfast at the hotel, then visit:
Samata Shiksha Niketan School (the “Bamboo School”): A private school established in 1999 in Kamal Binayak, Bhaktapur, providing quality low-cost education to underprivileged children in Nepal.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Located 12 km east of Kathmandu, “the City of Devotees” is the smallest city in the valley. Its main square, or ‘Layaku’, is famous for the 15th-century Palace of 55 Carved Windows with its Golden Gate, along with the Lion Gate and the stone temple of Vatsala Devi.
Pashupatinath Temple: A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple has a gold-plated roof, four silver-plated gates, and is built in traditional Nepalese pagoda style. Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple complex.

Kathmandu – Boudhanath, High Lama Audience & Everest Summiteer Evening
Early morning walk to a yoga centre for a refreshing one-hour session, followed by buffet breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, visit:
Boudhanath: One of the oldest and biggest Buddhist stupas in Nepal, rising 36 meters with three Mandala-style platforms and 108 prayer wheels set into an octagonal base. The surrounding settlement is home to Tibetan refugees who arrived in the 1950s, developing the area into a “Mini-Tibet.”
Meet with the High Lama: Visit a monastery for a special audience with a high lama for an exchange of words, advice, and a blessed khada (ceremonial scarf).
Everest Summiteer Evening: Before or during dinner, an accomplished Mount Everest summiteer joins the group to share stories from the mountains in an interactive evening.
