John Jewkes has been a CES Religious Educator for 35 years and has taught at many universities, including Utah, Yale, UMass, and George Mason. John and Heather have been leading Church History Tours for over 30 years. They have been married for 39 years and are the parents of 6 children.

Arrive in Kansas City
Afternoon: arrive at the Kansas City (MCI) airport and transfer to the hotel.

Missouri Sites – Independence & Liberty Jail
Tour Highlights: Missouri sites – the Temple Lot, the LDS Visitor Center, downtown Independence (the print shop and courthouse), the 8 Witnesses Monument, and Liberty Jail.
Accommodations: Kansas City Area Hotel (Breakfast)
Day 3
Date : September 26, 2027
Zion’s Camp, Far West & Adam-ondi-Ahman
Tour Highlights: Zion’s Camp, a sacrament meeting in Liberty, Richmond, the 3 Witnesses Monument, Far West, Haun’s Mill (weather permitting), Gallatin, and Adam-ondi-Ahman.
Accommodations: Chillicothe, Missouri Hotel (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day 4

Marceline, Hannibal & a Mississippi River Boat Cruise
Tour Highlights: Marceline (Walt Disney’s boyhood hometown and its downtown street that inspired Disney’s Main Street, U.S.A.), Hannibal, Missouri, a Mississippi River boat cruise, and Quincy, Illinois.

Carthage Jail & Nauvoo

Winter Quarters & Pioneer Courage Park
Tour Highlights: the Mormon Battalion Muster Site, Hyde Park, Kanesville, Pioneer Courage Park, the LDS Winter Quarters Visitor Center, Temple, and Cemetery.

Date : October 2, 2027
Depart for Home
Morning: depart for the Omaha Eppley Airport (OMA). Depart from Omaha Airport (OMA) or Kansas City Airport (MCI) for your return flight home.
